Nortel's Investment Recovery Operations Minimize Waste for Customers' Networks
Overview Nortel is proud of its membership in the Olympic Family, as the Official Converged Network Equipment Supplier for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, as well as its partnership with the Olympic Games in London in 2012. This paper uses examples of equipment provided to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and to the 2012 London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) to illustrate how Nortel manages its Investment Recovery program. This program exists to carefully manage the end-of-life outcomes of products. These examples are far from exhaustive, but demonstrate the range of outcomes for Nortel products.
