Astron Clinica Protects Software With Sentinel Hardware Keys
Overview Astron Clinica, based in Cambridge UK, enables the diagnosis, analysis, and monitoring of skin health through their skin imaging software suite: DERMETRICS, which incorporates its proprietary skin imaging technology SIAscopy. The challenge was to stop unauthorized copying and distribution of software. Astron deployed SafeNet Sentinel Hardware Keys that contains both public key cryptography and 128-bit AES encryption in order to secure communications between the key and the protected application.
