Overview National Pensions Office (NPO) wanted to guarantee permanent accessibility to pension data as a vital public service and optimize data backup times by providing the organization with a simple, secure, and fast process. The challenge was to reduce the risk of human error during data backup and restoration by minimizing the manual operations required and streamlines the data recovery process and eliminates custom, manual scripts. NPO implemented a backup procedure for the NPO using Oracle Recovery Manager, a feature of Oracle Database, and elements of Flash recovery and incremental backup to streamline the organization's data recovery procedure.
