Telephony Systems - PBX White Papers
Moving 4ward With Unified Communications
Overview Based in Hong Kong, 4ward is a hosting company specializing in IT, telephony and unified communications. 4ward employees are highly mobile, and they needed the flexibility to use either their desk phone or PC for voice communications, and to be reachable on any device - without burdening their customers with the need to track multiple phone numbers. Because a hosted infrastructure carries the fate of a large number of companies simultaneously, hosting providers have a particularly strong requirement to provide rock-solid server and communications infrastructure. While 4ward investigated potential solutions from all of the industry's leading networking suppliers, it ultimately selected a range of Nortel solutions on which to base its unified communications service.
