Best Practices for HP Continuous Access and HP Cluster Extension With the HP EVA4400 in an Exchange 2007 Environment
Overview This white paper provides guidelines and data gathered from testing an Exchange Server 2007 disaster-tolerant solution from HP that meets a recovery point objective equal to zero: no data loss of committed data in case of server or storage failure or in case of a site disaster. The tested solution consisted of a geographically dispersed environment utilizing Microsoft Majority Node Set clusters (MNS), HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA4400), HP StorageWorks Continuous Access array-based synchronous data replication, and HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension for EVA (CLX). The project scope was to develop a set of best practices for HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension and HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array EVA4400 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2008 environment.
