CONEVAL Unifies Information and Improves Evaluation and Monitoring of Social Programs
Overview The National Council for Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL) is coordinated by Mexico's Department of Social Development. It is responsible for measuring, evaluating, and monitoring the impact of all federal social assistance programs. Each year, it evaluates 170 federal programs with an average reach of 40 million people. It needed to implement a single, reliable, and flexible information system to facilitate exact measurement of poverty levels in the country and establish a single robust online database with quick and easy access to achieve visibility throughout the organization. CONEVAL implemented a secure and flexible information system with the help of Oracle Consulting, enabling CONEVAL to publish 2,420 municipal maps showing the country's poverty levels.
