Development of BI Application for One of the World's Leading Pharmaceutical Companies
Overview One of the one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies with close to $22 billion in annual revenues. The company employs over 64,000 people worldwide and has a presence in over 100 countries. The customer used Oracle applications at its corporate office and the countrywide Head Offices and Depots. The ability to track business indicators including sales data and market trends is a critical success factor in the pharmaceutical industry. The Oracle reports used by the customer did not provide the needed visibility into the business. Therefore, the company needed a more flexible and efficient reporting system. Datamatics developed a BI solution using SAP Business Objects to aid with data analysis. This helped provide results aggregated on various parameters, which acted as decision support enablers.
