Overview With the wide spread of worms, spyware, malware, and increased number of network attacks, the security of networks is an imperative, holding the same importance as other crucial features such as performance and quality of service in network deployment. Security is usually provided by the deployment of network security devices such as firewall, intrusion detection prevent systems, and VPN solutions. To meet market requirement, HP ProCurve has introduced the TMS module (a modular device that integrates with HP ProCurve switches) to provide advanced security features. With the need for increased security, the concern for surety in security devices has increased with attackers finding new ways to bypass and compromise security devices.
