PKC Group Achieves Easier Monthly Forecasting With IBM Cognos and Soleno
Overview The PKC Group offers design and contract manufacturing services for wiring harnesses, cabling and electronics. With separate financial systems in different countries, Finnish electronics manufacturer PKC Group found it difficult to consolidate data and create accurate forecasts. Due to the high level of manual work required, the finance department could only provide forecasts on a quarterly basis. Working with Soleno the group implemented IBM Cognos 8 Planning to help handle forecasting for sales, production, investment and fixed costs, and IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence for analysis and reporting.
