Overview Wurth wanted greater automation and data exchange for its order management system. With a beta-version Microsoft solution in mind, the company looked for an IT services organisation and the latest business technology. Wurth needed a solution that would speed up the supply chain. Wurth turned to HP Services to help streamline the ordering system and implement a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 platform running on HP ProLiant DL385 G1 servers. BizTalk Server 2006 R2 came with a better licensing model than the SAP option, and enhanced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
