Standardising Computing Solutions for Every European Employee
Overview The UniCredit Group has developed and grown through a series of mergers and acquisitions that have positioned it as one of Europe's leading providers of financial services. However, this process had also led to heterogeneous computing platforms being used across the 22 European countries in which it operates. Following the major acquisition of Capitalia, the central IT team decided it was time to streamline and standardise personal computing solutions in order to make management and support simpler and cost-effective. The UniCredit Group uses an electronic bidding process to evaluate potential suppliers and invited several major technology vendors to tender bids.
