Cengage Learning Accelerates Digital Rights Management and Improves Customer Service

Overview Cengage Learning wanted to provide scalable information rights management system for new marketing model that would allow students to download entire textbooks or individual chapters online and implement solution that would allow identical PDF document delivery to both Windows and Mac customers. The challenge was to integrate solution with existing infrastructure, including proprietary commerce platform and single sign-on solution. Cengage Learning implemented Oracle Information Rights Management to allow students to purchase only the reference materials they need and download either full publications or individual chapters online, whether they are PC or Mac users.
