T.C. Saglik Bakanligi Accelerates Data Transfer by 90% by Capturing Data Online

Overview T.C. Saglik Bakanligi wanted to modernize and standardize information systems used by hospitals to improve quality of care and operational efficiency and ensure availability of patient data when and where it is needed to enable informed and often life-saving care decisions. The challenge was to enable access to real time business information to drive more informed operational decisions and eliminate legacy physical data transfer processes, in which data was collected from hospitals via CD-ROM and other physical media. T.C. Saglik Bakanligi implemented a new data infrastructure based on Oracle Database, allowing for rapid access and delivery of patient, administrative, and financial data and achieved around-the-clock availability of all data, from financial data to patient records, by implementing Oracle Real Application Clusters.
