Industrial Services Company Deploys Solution More Quickly With Expert Guidance

Overview The Shaw Group, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a Fortune 500 company that provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector customers. The Shaw Group wanted to upgrade its corporate intranet to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, but knew that the existing intranet's structure would make migrating difficult. Shaw visited a Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) to test various upgrade paths and learn how to best use new product features. As a result, the company was able to choose an upgrade path three times faster than without the MTC while creating a better overall solution.
