When assessing the current security status, one must first gather all necessary security information: policies, change controls, network diagrams, cardholder data flow, location of repositories, etc. It is highly recommended to assign a project manager and key people from IT, security, Human Relations and legal departments to ensure that all aspects are considered in security-related choices.
