IBM Proventia Server for Windows 2.0

Overview NSS Labs performed comprehensive testing of the IBM Proventia Server for Windows 2.0 software as a Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) for use in payment card environments. This paper contains the conclusions and associated data from a series of exacting tests performed on a Windows 2003 Server installed in the real-world test lab. The product is separated into two components: Proventia Server for Windows 2.0 Agent, which is installed on the protected server, and SiteProtector, a centralized management server which is controlled via a GUI Client. Installation was quite simple. All clients are created and pre-configured within the SiteProtector User Interface.
