Accelerating Business Analytics

Overview A global leader in the chemicals industry, Celanese makes a wide range of products for consumer and industrial applications. Celanese wanted to increase the performance of business intelligence systems-accelerate query response times from the company's SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI) component software to deliver faster access to information and improve decision making and close accounting books faster-meet a strategic goal to reduce the time to close the books to five days. Celanese deployed HP solution for SAP NetWeaver BIA powered by Intel Xeon processors. The HP solution for SAP NetWeaver BIA increased performance of the company's SAP NetWeaver BI software, which runs on HP Integrity Superdome Servers with Intel Itanium processors running the HP-UX 11i operating environment.
