New College Durham Attracts New Students With Robust IT Infrastructure Delivered With the Help of Dell Professional Services
Overview When New College Durham received funding from the Learning Skills Council (LSC), it began work on a modernised education facility in March 2003. As part of the project, the college decided to upgrade its server, desktop and storage hardware so that staff and learners could work with advanced technology in a more inspiring environment. The college chose leading services provider Dell Professional Services to implement and sup-port new hardware including a Dell EMC CX500 Storage Area Network (SAN), Dell PowerEdge servers, 500 Dell OptiPlex desktops, and 40 Dell Latitude notebooks. The new technology has replaced the college's outdated legacy PC and server systems, providing it with state-of-the-art technology with which to attract students and support future growth.
