Advanced Micro Devices Case Study: Bentley Systems Software

Overview With over 2,800 colleagues in over 50 offices worldwide and annual revenues surpassing $450 million, Bentley Systems has invested over $I billion in research, development and acquisitions since 1993. The VizCenter was created to showcase MicroStation and other advanced Bentley products at their full potential. The key challenge for MicroStation users was reducing the significant amounts of rendering time necessary to effectively analyze designs. Bentley Systems deployed AMD Athlon processor-based system configuration: 1GHz AMD Athlon processor, dual 9 GB RAID ultra 160 drives, 512MB RAM. Configuration of system used previously at Bentley VizCenter: Digital Personal Workstation 600MHz, 21164 CPU, 512k RAM.
