Overview Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB), a state-owned financial institution established in 1973, provides medium-to long-term lending for local projects involving capital-intensive infrastructure and with businesses in the maritime and technology sectors. The institution received three awards in 2005 from the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific for its infrastructure development, poverty alleviation and technology advancement activities. To continue its award-winning work, it needed to provide fast, reliable and future-ready IP-based communications at its new headquarters. A 3Com converged network infrastructure with a fully redundant 10-Gigabit core and Gigabit-to-the-edge connectivity was ready to support BPMB's employees when they moved into their new main office in August 2006.
