CAAAREM Improves Online Information Analysis With a Reliable, Integrated Information System
Overview The Mexican Confederation of Associations of Customs Brokers (CAAAREM) wanted to create an integrated information system that enables customs brokers and associations to analyze government information online and further develop foreign trade operations and provide scorecards and indicators that help analyze and facilitate monitoring their import and export operations. The challenge was to accelerate the time needed to deliver operational reports and information to customs brokers for timely decision making. CAAAREM worked with Mar Systems, an Oracle Partner, to implement Oracle Business Intelligence, giving customs brokers visibility for analyzing all stages of the import/export process and established a foreign trade data mart, reducing 150 million history files to 15 million files and facilitating quick and easy querying of that information.
