CGI Reduces Average Appeal Processing Time by More Than 50% for Federal Healthcare Program
Overview CGI wanted to provide a comprehensive online tool for a federal healthcare program to enable online case management and streamline the healthcare claims appeal process to improve efficiency and minimize resources required to adjudicate claims. The challenge was to ensure on-time and on-budget implementation to comply with federal contract stipulations and facilitate the federal healthcare sector's move to increased implementation and use of electronic health records. CGI leveraged Siebel eHealthcare to provide online access to comprehensive case information for patients and implemented the Oracle-based solution on-time and on-budget - standardizing case flows and providing users wider access to electronic healthcare information.
