Overview Founded in 9, Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) is a 705-bed independent teaching hospital located in Brooklyn, New York. Maimonides isn't resting on its laurels. Having blazed a trail for electronic record keeping, the hospital continues to explore opportunities for data storage and retrieval process improvements, with the ultimate goal of the best possible patient care. To further its trend-setting work in electronic record keeping and retrieval, MMC asked Verizon Business to deploy Verizon Dedicated Wavelength Ring Service over new fiber that will provide multiple one-Gigabit-per-second (Gbps) links between core locations housing Administration and Computer Operations and the MMC Data Center.
