Overview Brighton and Sussex NHS Trust wanted to leverage technology advances to build a scalable, resilient, flexible, secure IT environment with near-100% uptime and gain timely, usable financial data to support decision makers and ensure the highest standards of governance and compliance. The challenge was to improve staff productivity by cutting process cycles while minimizing training for 2,000 users of varying competencies and ensure that BSUH has the technology and processes in place to underpin its goal of achieving Foundation Trust status by 2012. Brighton and Sussex NHS Trust migrated Oracle E-Business Suite applications, used to provide BSUH with best-practice accounting and business intelligence since 2004, from Windows to Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform.
