Overview Human Resources organizations face an ever-increasing number of business challenges. Some are Traditional-managing employee benefits, attracting and retaining the right staff. Increasingly, HR organizations are turning to technology to simplify the way they meet these challenges. After a number of acquisitions and mergers spanning only a few short years, operating Verizon's human resources department and managing employees successfully in an ever changing environment became increasingly complex. Their human resources department was overwhelmed with work. Boxes of paper-based employee transactions from newly acquired companies as well as transactions from tenured personnel forced them to hire additional contracting staff.
