Middle East Telco Regains Control of Its IT Infrastructure Security With Verizon Business
Overview For a Middle East telecommunications company, rapid growth was both a blessing and a curse. Since its inception, it had quickly grown into a regional leader that provided millions of customers with mobile, fixed line, satellite, network, and Internet communications services. At the same time, however, the telecom's IT infrastructure had also grown, becoming so large that IT personnel were having difficulty managing the security profile of its widely distributed infrastructure. The telecom called on Verizon Business to implement an in-sourced SOC that would give the company more control of its IT Infrastructure security. The telecom chose Verizon Business because of its leading technology in the security management space, its substantial experience and knowledge as a managed security services provider, and its mature SOC deployment model, which touches on every critical SOC component.
