Community Health: Compliant Reporting and Transfer of Information From a Legacy Database

Overview CHNCT works with several thousand healthcare providers, all of which must be provided with confidential information on a regular basis. This information includes patient data, medical claims data, and authorization and referral data. Because Crystal Reports does not incorporate the ability to encrypt those reports, HIPAA regulations prevent CHNCT from making full use of the system. The reports had to be manually run, encrypted, and emailed, which was eating up a significant amount of valuable IT staff time and resources. As a solution Community Health turned to DataMotion to send their Crystal Reports securely.
