Sebrae Parana Reduces Disc Storage Requirements by 70% With a Corporate Portal
Overview Sebrae wanted to promote knowledge-sharing among all staff and provide consultants - who spend 70% of their time outside the organization - with a virtual work environment, through real-time access to nearly 50 applications. The challenge was to integrate various legacy applications within the organization - operating on different platforms - through the organization's corporate portal. Sebrae worked with Oracle Partner, DB Master, to create a corporate portal operating on Linux RedHat AS40, with virtual work environments, real-time collaboration, and workgroup forums and agendas as well as implemented a portal in eight months, using Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle PL/SQL.
