Tellumat Partners With SunTec to Provide Innovative Billing Solution for SME Telecom Operators

Overview The telecom sector of South Africa has been witnessing rapid changes with the government issuing more licenses in the rural areas. In the urban areas too, the excess capacity was being given off to startup players. With the influx of small license operators, Tellumat was looking forward to set up a billing bureau together with an innovative billing service vendor, so that they could target SME operators by offering value-added services combined with their technology in a hosted services model. After evaluating SunTec's TBMS-T product suite, Tellumat decided to deploy the billing service bureau as a joint venture with SunTec for voice and data services of new start-up telecom service providers.
