Spirit Telecom Selects NeuStar to Support CALEA Compliance Efforts

Overview Spirit Telecom is a South Carolina-based broadband network comprised of 18 Independent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs). The company sought to offer a comprehensive Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) compliance solution to their member companies, to over 60 non-member ILECs and ISPs, and to prospective clients. Choosing to partner with NeuStar was a simple decision. With NeuStar's solution in place, Spirit Telecom became CALEA-compliant prior to the May 14, 2007 CALEA compliance deadline. Today, NeuStar provides Spirit with legal services for records production, intercept services for the voice and broadband businesses, and a leading-edge 'Just-in-time' mediation solution.
