Moby S.p.A. Streamlines In-Port Ferry Operations by Automating Check-in for Five Million Passengers
Overview Moby S.p.A. wanted to enhance customer service with a new ticketing and self-service check-in solution on frequently travelled routes and introduce mobile and self-service check-in tools for passengers to reduce waiting times at ticket outlets across its ports. The challenge was to install a reliable solution to ensure that ticket outlets and check-in points, both fixed and mobile, operate with maximum availability and optimize security during loading and unloading of passengers and vehicles. Moby S.p.A. adopted Oracle Partner E-Dea's eBooking and eBoarding systems, built on Oracle Database as well as integrated all customer touch points - including online, self-service, and mobile - to reduce passenger check-in and loading times.
