IBM WebSphere MQ V7 Performance Report on HP-UX 11i V3 and HP Integrity Servers
Overview IBM WebSphere MQ V7.0 on HP-UX has similar performance characteristics to WebSphere MQ V6. This paper shows the throughput for Local, Client and Distributed Queuing using 2 kilobyte message sizes with non-persistent non-trusted (NP_NT), non-persistent trusted (NP) and persistent message (PM) types. Larger message sizes of 20K, 200K and 2M sizes are also provided. A single cell (4p/8c) of an HP Integrity Superdome SD64B server, running HP-UX 11i v3 operating system, was used for the WebSphere MQ server system under test. The results from 4 and 8 cores, tuned and un-tuned system configurations were measured and analyzed.
