File and Network Servers White Papers
888.com and Minicom Make a Great Pair
Overview 888.com is one of the biggest online gaming sites. 888.com has hundreds of servers to handle its operations. Additionally it has many assorted KVM switches and required a centralized management system that would be compatible with all of them. The challenge was to improve server access, integrate the existing KVM legacy switches with future servers and unify administration, monitoring and control of all the servers and legacy KVM switches across the various server rooms. Achieving simultaneous multi-level user access was an additional goal. Minicom installed the KVM.net with Smart IP Access. This establishes a global centralized KVM management platform that works by consolidating the existing KVM infrastructure via locally connected Smart IP Access devices.
