Data Center White Papers

Christie Clear Thanks to Minicom

Overview Christie Digital is a Canadian company which is a global leader in the manufacture of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry. Christie was looking for the ability to have four remote administrators manage 100 servers in its data center. The servers are a mix of PS/2, USB and Blade chassis. Minicom recommended the DX Matrix 4x32 switch whereby each of the four users receives their own user station. The DX can be cascaded to allow Christie Digital's staff to manage all of the server well as devices such as routers and power strips from a single interface. It provides a highly secure, integrated, flexible and supreme scalable solution for 24/7 BIOS-level control and management.
