Overview Scientists at the University of Cambridge rely on High-Performance Computing (HPC), but only specialist researchers used the existing system based on Linux - other researchers used desktop systems running familiar Windows software. With its partner Cluster Resources, the university created an interoperable HPC environment running Windows HPC Server 2008 and Linux. Now, the supercomputer attracts new users, furthering research possibilities.
