Health Bureau of Hebei Province Establishes Unified Medical and Healthcare Datacenter
Overview The Health Bureau of Hebei Province wanted to create a robust information infrastructure to store healthcare data, manage exchange of health information, and enable interoperability between disparate healthcare IT systems and standardize systems and operational practices relating to health information sharing and management. The challenge was to establish a regional healthcare data repository to act as an information hub and analytics enabler for the province and ensure the sustainability of the IT environment to maximize return on investment. Health Bureau of Hebei Province built a unified data center for the Health Bureau and healthcare institutions in the province that supported interoperability between heterogeneous applications, centralized healthcare data, and enforced strict security policies for access to the database.
