The Thin Client Wireless Broadband Network Project in the Irish Primary School Sector - An Analysis of Baseline Data

Overview The Thin Client wireless broadband project, is a pilot initiative involving a cluster of nine primary schools based in North County Dublin, Ireland. It is a four year project designed to investigate firstly, the extent to which a centrally managed network, based on thin client technology, can deliver an effective robust technology infrastructure to schools, and secondly, the extent to which such a solution can support and enhance pedagogical practice in relation to the deployment of ICT in education. A researcher has been assigned to the project to conduct a longitudinal study of the project's progress and impact.
