Mitchell School District's One-to-One Computing Program Has Pushed Traditional Lesson Plans to a New Level

Overview Mitchell School District in South Dakota promotes technology in education with a one-to-one notebook computing initiative that provides teachers and students with wireless learning resources. Mitchell wanted to ensure that the program was set up to have a powerful impact on learning and that the district had technology equipment they could depend on to form the background of the initiative. Mitchell School District established a one-to-one computing program using Dell Latitude notebooks. A cohort of teachers was trained by Dell to help other teachers in their schools learn to integrate computer use in the classroom. The district also utilizes Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell OptiPlex desktops on the back-end to support information management and communication.
