Overview Distributed File System (DFS) in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 helps administrators address key challenges through DFS Namespaces and DFS Replication. When used together, these two technologies offer simplified, fault-tolerant access to files, load sharing, and Wide Area Network (WAN)-friendly replication. This webcast examines DFS Namespaces, formerly known as Distributed File System, and DFS Replication, the successor to File Replication Service (FRS), which was introduced in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server operating systems.
