Windows Mobile: Communicating With the Outside World
Overview This paper explores the various options available on the .NET Compact Framework that allows the apps to connect with the outside world. In particular, the paper will discuss short-range communications technologies such as: Infrared, Bluetooth/serial port; and long-range communications technologies such as: GPRS/EDGE, WIFI. The paper shows how to develop a Windows Mobile application to take pictures using the built-in camera and then upload the picture to a web service.
