A New Intranet Portal Engages Employees and Increases Customer Satisfaction

Overview Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union (OCTFCU) was founded in 1934 when 125 school employees pooled $1,200 and established a financial institution to help improve each other's lives. Their old intranet was unable to supply enough functionality or workflow process to adequately support a dynamic and distributed organization. This resulted in maintenance of numerous duplicate and outdated information sources and several navigation and usability issues that hampered productivity and increased the learning curve for new users. The new BEA AquaLogic User Interaction-powered intranet provided team-members with a single location for accessing the information needed to serve their customers. It has a sections devoted to current marketing promotions, a staff directory, product information, and human resources information.
