The Yomiuri Shimbun Builds Scalable HR System to Manage Growing Workforce

Overview Yomiuri Shimbun wanted to implement a human resource management system that can be quickly adapted to meet changes in HR laws and processes. The challenge was to ensure the system could be used across the organization while accommodating different HR and payroll structures. Yomiuri Shimbun selected a range of Oracle Human Resources modules to build a single integrated HR management platform as well as gained a system that can store data on up to 30,000 employees (including those that have resigned or retired) and manage payroll for 7,000 staff (comprising 6,300 current group employees and 700 ex-employees on a retirement pension).
