Spanish University Adopts Microsoft Live@edu as a Service Model for e-Mail and Communication for Their Students

Overview The Universidad Europea de Madrid's (UEM) increasing demand on the part of the students of very popular services such as the e-mail, instant messaging or blogs and a foreseeable tendency to a greater consumption of IT resources in the mid term motivated a change of the model of operation of the services offered to the students. The UEM deployed Microsoft Live@edu as an external infrastructure and resource management model, while maintaining their corporate presence and preparing the path for the adoption of new technologies and new ways of accessing and using this kind of services for the future.
