Canada Dry Distribution Franchise Improves Sales Order Response Time Utilizing Windows CE-Based Handheld PCs
Overview Canada Dry Delaware Valley needed to upgrade to their mobile pre-sales technology, to gain a wider service area and faster transmissions from a Cellular Digital Packet Data network, and to move out of limiting old-technology DOS-based devices which prevented incorporating needed new capabilities into their system, such as improving sales order response time. Philadelphia salespeople deployed the new Handheld PCs; a larger rollout is planned to include other Honickman Organization franchises in its other regions covering several East Coast and Mid Atlantic states.
