Integration of B2B Connections Streamlines Supply Chain Management
Overview Air Products is a major supplier of gases, chemicals, equipment, and other products and services to a range of industrial customers. The company's business model relies on electronic transaction capabilities with key customers and suppliers. Such electronic relationships include transacting through a third-party trading hub, standardized ERP-to-ERP solutions with high-value partners, and Electronic Data Interchange transactions. To enhance and standardize this electronic business process, Air Products deployed an integration solution that uses Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 to translate documents from various sources into a common XML format and to create workflows that reduce the amount of manual intervention required of Air Products employees, thereby improving service to customers.
