School District Finds Simplicity With One Vendor

Overview Increasing user demand and bandwidth-intensive applications were creating bottlenecks in Taos Municipal Schools' network. To combat these bottlenecks, the district wanted to upgrade its network over a several year period. The challenge for Taos was its lack of IT resources - only two people support the entire district's network services. As a result it was important that the upgraded network be simple to manage and maintain. Although Taos Municipal Schools has been a loyal Allied Telesyn customer for many years, it worked with systems integrator Educational Technologies of New Mexico to perform due diligence and evaluate equipment from several vendors before selecting an Allied Telesyn solution for its network upgrade.
