Bandwidth Enhancement of Strip-Loaded Radial-Line Slot Array Antenna by the Inclusion of Canceling Slots

Overview This paper proposes a new design of linearly polarized radial-line slot-array antennas (LP-RLSA) which uses loading strips and cancelling slots. The combination of both techniques provides wider impedance bandwidth with high radiation efficiencies. The suitable design of the antenna elements reduces the excitation of cancelling slots and consequently the radiation distortion introduced by them.
