Enterprise-Quality Security Devices for the End User
Overview With everything and everyone connected to the Internet - virtually anywhere at anytime - providing effective network security is becoming a difficult proposition. Traditional server, gateway and router-based solutions weren't designed to support today's dynamic, highly dispersed networks. According to Berlin-based Innominate AG, truly effective security in this new environment often requires implementation at the end user or machine. Three Intel networking components met Innominate's demanding criteria and helped them deliver their new devices in roughly half the normal development time. Both Innominate products use the Intel IXP425 network processor, the Intel 28F128J3 Strata Flash memory, and the Intel LXT973 10/100Mbps Ethernet PHY transceiver.
