Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS)
Overview The networking industry has relied on the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) in large Layer 2 networks to provide a certain level of redundancy. However, STP has proven inadequate to provide the level of resiliency required for real-time and mission critical applications.
