Overview McKesson operates in a highly competitive business to supply products, services, and information to the healthcare industry. McKesson needed to develop a sophisticated internal analytic system for its top executives who would deliver timely and accurate financial score card information on its competition. McKesson is committed to using open industry standards to enhance information sharing and cut costs across the healthcare industry, so it was natural for the company to choose open technologies as the basis for its Executive Dashboard. The Dashboard is built on BEA WebLogic Portal 7.0 and BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 as its software platform, and uses BEA WebLogic JRockit 7.0 as its Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
